BALTIMORE YOGA About Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Yoga Classes in Baltimore, Maryland at Beyond Postures
Phoenix rising yoga classes facilitate a deep personal experience that is unique to each person. Phoenix Rising Yoga will guide you to find your own true expression from an inner experience of the posture that is a unique expression of your self as you are right now, at this moment.
This guided self-exploration is profoundly nurturing and deepens self-awareness. Self-awareness is the main purpose of yoga. Because Phoenix Rising is firmly based in traditional hatha yoga principles, you will stretch and strengthen muscles, stimulate balance, expand and open the respiratory system, move toxins out of the joints, AND through self-awareness come into greater mental and emotional balance in a way that you can bring from the mat into your daily life.
In a Phoenix Rising Yoga class there is no right or wrong way - only what shows up right now - your body, your thoughts, your feelings. From this body-centered self awareness comes deeper insight and understanding of the relationship between body, mind and spirit. Awareness is all that is needed. With each awareness the process of growth and change has already begun. When you move from your own inner teacher no prior experience or knowledge of yoga is necessary - no prior experience or knowledge will interfere. Phoenix Rising Yoga meets you where you are. Everyone can do it!
